On the observation from September 22nd the very first thing that caught my attention was when the teacher and the kids were singing to months ( having a song for things really helps with memorization. I loved this because this is the exact song I learned when I was little. I also noticed that the teacher identified three terms that she wanted to emphasize for the lesson that day which was; think, picture, and stretch. I noticed that the back row of students was not as engaged as the students sitting in the front, maybe break those groups down as well just to make sure everyone is learning what is up on the board. The teacher uses a 1 2 3 method to get the children's attention and uses a marker as a pointer for the children to follow along and keep them focused and on track. Also, towards the end, I like the idea of the different reading groups, and they were small groups so you can pay close attention to each child. I also love when they noticed the camera and asked questions about it then waved. Lastly, I noticed the waterfall phrase you used to get the students more quite in the classroom.
